In every dungeon there is a Dungeon Map. This map will show Link where every room in the dungeon is. After obtaining the Compass , it will also show what treasure chests are inside of the dungeon. The Compass displays the locations of Treasure Chests and the location of the Boss. Additionally, it will also display Link's current location and the door he just came through. In most of the dungeons, Link can find Small Keys which are usually the rewards of solving puzzles.
There are many small keys throughout the dungeon, and they can only be used once each to open a locked door. In every large dungeon there is a Boss Key. Link will need to find the key in order to unlock the boss door and complete the dungeon.
