Who is better totodile or cyndaquil

Typhlosion has lower defensive stats than a Chikorita, but it has higher attack stats. Its speed is also higher. This can be a major problem as nearly every powerful Water Type move uses the Special Attack stat.

The fact it learns the healing move Synthesis at level 11 helps even more and showcases the Chikorita family as strong defensive Pokemon. These two moves will keep Chikorita alive where its defenses might otherwise fail it.

The Chikorita family also learns a vast array of defensive moves like Reflect, Light Screen, Safeguard and Aromatherapy. Just remember you need to have SOME attacks in order to take out your opponent. Cyndaquil learns its first Fire move at level 10 with Ember. Its best Fire moves are much later in the game. Lava Plume, Flamethrower and Eruption are all moves Typhlosion can take full advantage of and really lay some hurt down on its opponent.

It can learn Swift, Quick Attack, and Double Edge in addition to the Tackle it starts with, but Swift will definitely be a nice move to have at times, especially in the midpoint of your Johto badge collection.

As mentioned earlier, Totodile is a bit tricky as Water moves tend to use Special Attack scores and all three of its evolutions are actually low in that stat. To make up for this huge deficiency, this evolutionary chain learns a lot of powerful moves outside its Type. Just these moves alone gives Totodile a chance to do super-effective damage against a wide range of Pokemon.

While going through this article did you see a particular category that struck you as extremely important? Then you should probably go for the Pokemon that excels there and shy away from the one that is weakest. However, it can come down to simple preference.

As I said in the beginning of the article, I originally chose Totodile way back when simply because I liked the design of the character and that was all that matter to me. He has since retired from writing, but clearly shows up now and again. He has worked in video game journalism since and was also a paid consultant for Konami and The Pokemon Company. I am getting both HeartGold and SoulSilver. It might possibly be the same but what should I choose?

DeathEater — if you are getting both, you should definitely choose a different starter. Choose a Totodile or Chikorita. Meganium can be quite a formidable Pokemon if used properly.

They are all great Pokemon, in my opinion. I would personally think about what Kanto and Hoenn starters I want aswell Charizard's always my favorite.

Sceptile's my favorite for Hoenn. So yeah, definitely Feraligatr. I personally like Cyndaquil since the whole Pokemon franchise tends to ignore the fire types.

I mean, look at the ridiculous amounts of water types out there! Personally, there isn't a "best" starter out there. All of them are equal they have capabilities that other starters don't. If you mean "looks" Typhlosion is pretty awesome. Chikorita is my favorite Johto starter, so she'd probably be my pick as the best. I love my totodile : Either totodile or cyndaquil. I chose Cyndaquil because it's the easiest of the three for me to use in-game.

I like its moveset and its typing doesn't become a liability until later in the game when you should have a better selection of Pokemon to cover its weaknesses. Personal I like feraligator, but I chose typholsion this time around. Please teach me how to clone in white. Its a lot complicated than hg. Totodile is the best but I like the look of Chikorita but its not as strong.

He owns all of the Johto gyms and when you make it to Kanto hes already at a high enough level to own even Misty. It needs more support.

And it does great in a lot of the gyms. Pair: Taemin. User Info: BasiltheDragon. Saying that, Feraligatr is handy with the dragons at the end of Johto 'cause of it learning Ice Punch.

Then again, I've always preferred Cyndaquil though. Pokemon Ultra Sun: Basil - User Info: rodriggio. And I don't have WiFi, so I can't trade for one or the other.
