Very Frustrating!! It would be nice to have the employees know there website to be able to help the customers out!! I will be doing my business some where else.
Kmart needs a much better tech support, because the current one sucks!!!!!! When it comes time for delivery, they call and say it will be delivered on the specified date, someone needs to be there to sign for it. Arrangement made to have someone there and fine out at the day it was to be delivered that they rescheduled it for 3 days later. No help other than a gift card to spend more at their store.

To filter by items eligible for layaway, start here. At check-out, pay the down payment which includes the service fee. You can pick up the item in store, or select the ship-to-home option for delivery.
Layaway works differently than shopping with credit cards or using installment billing plans. With layaway you make payments over time, but your purchases stay in the store until you finish paying for them.
Once you pay off the total purchase price plus any layaway fees, you can pick up your items. Some stores offer layaway only in the store while others make it available online too. If an item on the website is listed as being an online only item, do not be surprised if you have issues returning it to the store. There is a way to do so, but it not well known, since this process is not limited to online orders, and it results in that store, not the company, eating the full value of the return, not getting any money back.
So very few associates even know about this process, since using it causes flags in the system, and can result in being written up or fired if overused, as well as in most cases a return has the UPC code, most hardlines items have it on their package and softlines have it on the clothes tags.
